The idea for NannyMcMelly came after Melissa spent many years working as a nanny herself. She saw firsthand how difficult it could be for families to find trustworthy childcare and how much easier life becomes when the right nanny is in place. NannyMcMelly was created to help families find that support with confidence.
All NannyMcMelly nannies are personally screened and interviewed before being introduced to families. We review references, verify identification, and ensure each nanny holds a valid Working With Children Check and relevant childcare experience.
Families pay the nanny directly at the agreed hourly rate. NannyMcMelly facilitates the introduction and placement, while ongoing payments are arranged directly between the family and the nanny.
Most families are introduced to suitable nannies within a few days of their consultation. The full placement process typically takes 2-4 weeks, depending on availability, interviews, and trial shifts.
Families have the opportunity to meet potential nannies and arrange trial shifts before confirming a placement. This ensures everyone feels comfortable and confident before moving forward.
NannyMcMelly offers a 30-day replacement period after placement. If the arrangement ends within this time, we will assist in finding another suitable nanny for your family at no additional placement fee.
